Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan, who had last appeared on silver screens in Vishwaroopam directed by himself, will next be seen playing the lead in Indian 2, which is the sequel to his 1996 blockbuster Indian, directed by Shankar, that had him in dual roles as a vigilante father and a corrupt son.

This sequel which is bankrolled by Lyca Productions, their second collaboration with Shankar after the Superstar Rajnikanth starrer sci-fi thriller 2.0, was launched formally last week, and the movie is currently being shot in Chennai, with Kamal participating in the shoot, with his old look.

Following this schedule which will last for few weeks, the team Indian 2 is planning to shoot in exotic locations for a long 2 month schedule, and this schedule is reportedly planned in 8 countries. Indian 2 stars Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead, while it has been speculated that Siddharth, Abhishek Bachchan might also join the team.
