Indian 2 to undergo yet another major change

When Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar was announced in the middle of 2018 fans of the original film all over the country rejoiced and everyone wanted to revisit the exploits of the Indian Thaathaa against the corrupt forces. However the production has undergone many trials and tribulations firstly the original producer Dil Raju backed out and Lyca Productions came in.

The next change was when cinematographer Ravi Varman opted out and was replaced by R.Rathnavelu. Then in early 2019 when the shooting commenced it had to be stalled due to a glitch in the makeup process that did not agree with Kamal's skin. Then again when the shooting resumed and went on in North India and Chennai it had to be once again stalled due to Kamal having to undergo a surgery to remove an plate in his leg and he had to take two months rest.

'Indian 2' shooting started this year and was going on well when on February 19th a crane carrying heavy lights crashed to the ground killing three people and Kamal, Kajal Aggarwal and Shankar who were on the spot had a lucky escape. After all these woes the shooting of the mega project is once again set to begin after the coronavirus lockdown ends.

We now have the news that the location has been shifted from EVP Gardens where the accident occurred to the Binny Mills compound in Pallavaram. It is said that the rest of the film will be shot in one go and there are also plans to release the film in two parts as there is already heavy footage.

'Indian 2' has music score by Anirudh and the ensemble cast comprises of Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Nedumudi Venu and Vivek.
