After the historical success of 'Vikram', Kamal Haasan is back to the number one position in Tamil cinema that he held years back, commercially that is. As an actor he remains unparalleled for more than forty years. The long delayed 'Indian 2' is now very much alive after Red Giant Movies join hands in the production with Lyca Productions recently.

The 'Indian 2' shooting started on August 24th and has been going on in various places in Chennai. Next the action is going to take place on grand sets erected by T. Muthuraj at the Prasad Lab premises in Saligramam. While Kamal Haasan will return from the US only after a couple of weeks, director Shankar is shooting portions that dont involve him. Actor Bobby Simha was spotted on the sets a few days back.

Meanwhile Rakul Preet Singh who plays a major character in 'Indian 2' landed in Chennai from Mumbai and was spotted at the airport. Her portions will resume from the 29th of August according to sources.

'Indian 2' has music by Anirudh and is shot by Ravi Varman with A. Sreekhar Prasad taking care of the editing. The ensemble cast comprises of Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Guru Somasundaram, Manobala and Samuthirkani.
