Kamal Haasan meets Oscar Award winning technician in US for 'Indian 2'

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan produced and acted in 'Vikram' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj which has become the all time blockbuster hit in Tamil cinema. Not one to bask in past glory the legendary actor flew to the United States a couple of weeks back.

Kamal met the funtionaries of his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam in the Bay Area in California and charted out future plans. But his primary goal for the visit is to prepare for the shooting of 'Indian 2' which resumes after a long delay on August 24th.

Kamal met Oscar Award winning makeup artist Michael Westmore and his daughter Mckenzie Westmore and had a long discussion with them. It is well known that the celeberated actor is playing the role of freedom fighter Senapathy in his late nineties in 'Indian 2' and it requires extensive prosthetic makeup.

Westmore and the Ulaganayagan have collaborated in several films including 'Indian', 'Avvai Shanmughi' and 'Dasavatharam'. The 84 year old won the Academy Award for best makeup for Jim Carrey's global hit 'Mask' released in 1985. His daughter Mckenzie Westmore who is a hardcore fan of the Tamil legend shared a photo from his visit on social media.

Mckenzie who is also an actress wrote ""Highlight of my week seeing @ikamalhaasan #Kamalhasan & my papa! Excited to wear @kh_khaddar in my show! Be sure to check this amazing line out as well as #vikram !"

'Indian 2' is directed by Kamal Haasan and produced by Lyca Productions with Anirudh scoring the music. The film stars Kamal, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Samuthirakani and Guru Somasundaram.
