Kamal Haasan made one of the most phenomenal comebacks in Tamil cinema history by producing and starring in the all time blockbuster hit 'Vikram' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is powered by the Aandavar swag, the gen next music by Anirudh and the stunnig performances of Vijay Sethupthi and Fahadh Faasil.

Now all eyes are on Kamal's next and it is more or less confirmed that he will complete the remaining portions of Shankar's 'Indian 2' and move on to a new project helmed by Mahesh Narayanan. The thespian is in the USA for a month long preparation for the sequel to his and Shankar's pan Indian blockbuster 'Indian' released in 1996.

Kajal Aggarwal played Kamal's pair in 'Indian 2' and she shot for a few sequences but opted out due to the unexpected delays in the production and she got married and delivered a baby in the meantime. It is said that Shankar has decided to cast the topmost heroine as the Ulaganayagan's pair and is holding talks with a few.

According to sources the first choice for the heroine of 'Indian 2' is Deepika Padukone who is currently the highest paid actress in India. She reportedly commands rupees 22 Crores per film and Lyca Productions is willing to pay the sum. The confirmation of the 'Pathaan' actress joining the project will be made by the month end. Deeps is currently playing the female lead in 'Project K' directed by Nag Ashwin opposite Prabhas.

'Indian 2' has music by Anirudh Ravichander and stars Kamal Haasan, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Suganya, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Siddharth and Delhi Ganesh.
