Director Shankar and Lyca Productions are involved in a legal row due to their long-delayed project 'Indian 2' starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The production house had filed a case in court seeking a ban on Shankar moving to his other projects 'RamCharan' and 'Anniyan ' Hindi remake.
The court in the last hearing advised both the parties to come to an amicable solution and adjourned the case and the hearing was again held today. Shankar informed the court that a compromise could not be arrived at in the issue. He apparently offered to finish 'Indian 2' from June to October, but Lyca insisted that it should be wrapped up within the month of June.
Shankar's side feels that considering the magnitude of the project and the ensemble cast involved it is impossible to finish the film within one month. The veteran director had earlier mentioned in the court that he has to reshoot portions involving the late actor Vivek with another actor as well. Whether the film will ever see the light of the day has become a question mark now and the case has been posted to June with a date unspecified.
'Indian ' has music by Anirudh and the cast comprises of Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Manobala and others.
