'Indian 2' - court declines the stay against director Shankar

The much anticipated film of Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' was put on hold following a horrific incident on the sets in February 2020. The delay in the production of the film has led to a conflict between filmmaker Shankar and the production house, for which both parties filed a suit with the Chennai High Court. According to the most recent news, the Court has turned down the producer's appeal.
Lyca Productions, the producer of 'Indian 2,' has requested a temporary restrain to prevent Shankar from directing another film till 'Indian 2' is completed. Shankar's statement on the case was requested by the court. Lyca Productions has requested a stay of execution and has filed a lawsuit against the director in the Hyderabad High Court.
It is reported that the judge who presided over the hearing declined to grant the producer's request for a stay order against Shankar. The hearing was postponed to a later date, and filmmaker Shankar has been instructed to file his statement to the Court.
'Indian 2' also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and others, in addition to Kamal Haasan. The soundtrack is being composed by Anirudh Ravichander, while the cinematographer has already undergone a few changes.
