The impasse between top director Shankar and Lyca Productions over the extended postponement of the ambitious 'Indian 2' starring Kamal Haasan is still going on, with no sign of an end in sight. Shankar had planned to direct two films in the following months, 'RC15' in Telugu and a Hindi adaptation of 'Anniyan,' but Lyca rushed to court to seek a block on other films before completing their collaboration.
The case came up for hearing and again and it was expected that an amicable solution will be reached but unfortunately the opposite has happened. Shankar has complained to the court that when this case is in progress, Lyca has filed another case against him in Hyderabad High Court seeking a ban on him from directing other films.
This new turn of events further has damaged the prospects for 'Indian 2' to resume anytime soon now. Kamal, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, and Delhi Ganesh star in the film, which features music by Anirudh.
