High Court appoints special judge to handle 'Indian 2' case - Here is the reason

Director Shankar and Lyca Productions are battling out in the court of law over their megaproject 'Indian 2' starring Kamal Haasan in the lead. The project has had a troubled production first facing a delay over a makeup glitch involving Kamal, an on-set accident that claimed the lives of three crew members, and the COVID 19 pandemic lockdowns.

Meanwhile, Shankar had intended to direct two films in the coming months, 'RC15' in Telugu and a Hindi remake of 'Anniyan,' But Lyca hurried to court to obtain a restraining order on other projects. The court already gave time for the two warring parties to come to an amicable solution that failed.

Today the case once again came up for hearing and the Madras High Court has appointed retired Judge Bhanumathi as an arbitrator to resolve the issue. We have to wait and watch how the new decision helps in reviving 'Indian 2' which is highly anticipated by fans.
