Superstar Rajinikanth unveiled the enthralling intro video of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's epic sequel 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar. The close to two minute clip opens with the final shot of 'Indian' in which Senapthy beleived to be dead in the plain crash surfaces in a foreign country and warns by phone that he will be back if corruptions reigns.

The rest of intro video of 'Indian 2' refreshes audiences minds about the core issue of corruption in governments that the original spoke about and how the vigilante freedom fighter Senapathy weeds it out. The scenes then prove that three decades later things are just the same and its time for the Indian to make his comeback. Kamal's getup for Senapathy is absolutely stunning and is sure to give goosebumps to his fans and those who love the character.

'Indian 2' has music by Anirudh and is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. The much anticipated film stars Kamal Haasan, Kajal Agarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Samuthirakani, SJ Surya, Sidharth, Bobby Simha, Kalidas Jayaram, Brahmanandam, , Delhi Ganesh, Manobala, Jagan, Gulshan Grover, Zakir Hussain, Piyush Mishra, Akhilendra Mishra and the late actors Vivek and Nedumudi Venu.

According to unconfirmed reports Shankar has planned to simultaneously complete the third part of the series and Kamal has allotted forty days call sheet. It is said that 'Indian 2' will release on April 12th, 2024 followed by 'Indian 3' on Diwali 2024 or Pongal 2025.
