Kollywood starlet Riyamika committed suicide in Chennai after she allegedly had an argument with her boyfriend. Riyamika was in love with her gym instructor Dinesh. She was feeling low because of lack of opportunities in the movie industry.

Rajamouli's Amaravathi design rejected
Earlier this year, SS Rajamouli was found collaborating with the designers of Amaravati, the new Andhra Pradesh capital. He was doing it as per Chandrababu Naidu's personal interest to involve him to use his "unique" architectural outlook. The ace director had to go to London to work with Norma Fosters for a couple of days. Rajamouli did all this for free. But all his proposals were rejected.
Chinmayi exposes Tamil dubbing union
Days after her membership was terminated by the Kollywood Dubbing Union further, Chinmayi said that there are 16 cases against it. "They keep liars and more liars to drum to their tunes else they would also be kicked out of work. Pathetic. Plus there is an FIR and a chargesheet filed as well a few months ago," she boldly wrote.
'Mahanati' director Nag Ashwin questioned KTR over the neglect in government hospitals in Hyderabad. His friend had died after an accident. There was no doctor to attend at Gandhi Hospital. "While the hospital says the patient was brought in a really bad shape, I am sure there are lots of improvements needed in our hospitals & assure you that we’ll make this a top priority next," KTR replied after inquiring about the incident.
Azharuddin bags big post in Congress:
The Congress on Friday appointed former cricketer and parliamentarian Mohammed Azharuddin as the working president of the Telangana Congress. This was seen as a convenient move by the party, which didn't want Azhar to leave the party.
Bala Sai Baba, regarded as a Godman by his devotees, has died of heart attack in Hyderabad's Virinchi hospital. He was 58. He was controversial for making "offensive" statements. There are also allegations of financial malfeasance against him.
Kannada superstar Ambareesh passed away on Sunday due to heart-attack. He was a big star in Sandalwood in the generation of Rajkumar. The film industry mourned and he was given a rich farewell by the Congress party, to which he belonged. Rajinikanth went to Bengaluru for final rites.
'2.0' collections drop on Day 2
After grossing big on Day 1 in India, the movie's collections dropped significantly (by about 30 percent) on Day 2. Surprisingly, the drop in southern States was bigger than that in North India.
