Cricketer Virat Kohli thought he was hitting it out of the park when he told a cricket fan that he shouldn't live in India because he prefers English and Australian batsmen over Indians. But the controversy led to sharp reactions from across the board. Many called out Kohli's "parochial" attitude. Someone pointed out he himself regards an Australian tennis player as his most favourite. Some others, defending Kohli, said that sports is about parochial (not hostile) and polarising attitudes.
BJP lost the bypolls to Bellary and other Assembly and Lok Sabha constituencies in Karnataka. The Bellary loss was humiliating and signalled an almost permanent loss of face for the saffron party. Some analysts have said that BJP lost the Bellary district in this year's Assembly polls itself.

'Thugs Of Hindostan' gets horrible ratings

It received bad ratings and was trolled mercilessly by one and all.
