India has won the third ODI against New Zealand at Maunganui by 7 wickets, as they eventually won the five match ODI series 3-0. New Zealand opted to bat first after winning the toss, but received a blow after Shami and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar dismissed openers Munro and Guptill early, followed by skipper Kane Williamson's departure for 28(48).
Powered by Ross Raylor's 93(106) and Latham's 51(64), Kiwis reached a fair 243 as the rest of the batsmen could not withstand the terrific Indian bowling, lead by Shami who claimed 3/41. India began their innings on a strong note, before Boult removed Dhawan for 28(27).
However Skipper Kohli and Rohit Sharma were steady, and ensured they set the stage for the victory with an impressive 113 run partnership, before Rohit was dismissed by Santner after a good 62(77). Kohli departed soon after, making a much needed 60(74), and it was Ambati Rayudu 40(42)* and Dinesh Karthik 38(38)* who completed the proceedings with their fine unbeaten cameo knocks, as India reached 245/3 and won the match by 7 wickets with 42 balls to spare, winning the series 3-0.
