The government on Saturday evening said that India has got 37,336 confirmed coronavirus cases so far. In the last 24 hours, 2293 confirmed cases were reported. About 1061 were cured in the said period.

So far, 9,950 persons have been either cured or discharged. With this, the recovery rate stands at 26.65%.

Some state-wise data points:

187 new cases were reported in Punjab on Saturday. Of these, 53 cases are from Amritsar. Total positive cases in the state stand at 772.

As reported by ANI, 25 new cases were reported in Kashmir and 2 from Jammu. Total positive cases in the Union Territory stand at 666 which includes 404 active cases.

12 new cases came from Karnataka from 5 PM Friday to 5 PM Saturday. In total, 601 positive cases were confirmed in the State.

With 62 new cases in the last 24 hours (as of 11:30 am, Saturday), the number of corona positive cases has breached the 1500 mark in Andhra Pradesh. The total number of confirmed cases now stands at 1525, with 1051 of them being active. 441 have been discharged so far, while deaths are 33 in number.
