Vande Bharat Express, India's fastest train and the country's first semi-high speech train, has completed its maiden trip from New Delhi to Varanasi. However, it has made news for a wrong reason.
It suffered a break down after the first trip itself. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched it only a day before. No damage has been reported. However, the train is said to be moving at a speed of just 40 kmph as of now.
"Vande Bharat Express was standing 18km from Tundla since 6.30 am. There seems to be disruption due to a possible cattle run over. It wasn't a scheduled commercial run. Commercial operations begin from 17 Feb," the Railway Ministry said.
