The official logo of the 75 years of Independence has been released ahead of Independence Day. Themed as 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', the logo has been widely shared on social media.
The theme for this year of I-Day celebrations is this: 'Nation First, Always First.'
Meanwhile, the Centre has declared August 14 as the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day. Speaking about it, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, "Partition’s pains can never be forgotten. Millions of our sisters and brothers were displaced and many lost their lives due to mindless hate and violence. In memory of the struggles and sacrifices of our people, 14th August will be observed as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day." He further added that the day will keep reminding us of the need to remove the poison of social divisions, disharmony and further strengthen the spirit of oneness, social harmony and human empowerment.
