In a disappointing move for movie lovers all over the world, Warner Bros. has removed “Tenet” from its release calendar, as movie theaters which were earlier planning to release the Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi thriller are now finding difficulties to reopen due to the increasing cases of Coronavirus cases.
Initially, “Tenet” was announced to release on July 17, and was later postponed to July 31 due to Coronavirus pandemic all over the world and once again the release was pushed to August 12. Now, the studio has completely removed it from their release calendar and a new release date is expected to be announced soon.
In his recent statement, Toby Emmerich, the chairman of Warner Bros said “We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for ‘Tenet,’ Christopher Nolan’s wholly original and mind-blowing feature. Our goals throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success for our films while also being ready to support our theater partners with new content as soon as they could safely reopen.” On the other hand it has been speculated that Warner Bros might release “Tenet” overseas before United States release.
