Pollution is a severe menace to Delhiites as the national capital's air quality is one of the world's poorest. In an innovative and interesting attempt, the Delhi government has tried using water mist cannons (also known as anti-smog guns) to curb air pollution.

The test was conducted in Delhi's most polluted region of Anand Vihar. The cannon is connected to a tank and water droplets are sprayed upto 230 feet in the air which is said to replicate rain thus bringing dust levels down.

Teh Delhi Environment Minister has also stated that the Fog Cannon will be used regularly to curb pollution levels in the city if the trials give satisfactory results.
