The news about the sensational Income tax raids at the premises of film financier Anbuchezhiyan, producers AGS Entertainment and Thalapathy Vijay has become hot headline news in all media platforms. The hardcore Thalapathy fans have taken to Twitter to show support their idol by creating the hashtag #WeStandwithThalapathyVijay and are stating that its a political vendetta for the star's critical dialogues against the state and central governments.
Thala Ajith's fans are sharing on social media two news cuttings from the past that have gone viral. One in English is an interview in which Ajith has slammed the governments advising them not to hike fares and tax people and then go on raids to successful people and celebrities houses. He had also suggested that the politicians who loot the public money should pay it back and all the troubles of the country will be solved.
Ajith had also quoted Sir Winston Churchill "Power will go to the hands of rascals, rogues, freebooters; all Indian leaders will be of low calibre & men of straw. They will have sweet tongues and silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power and India will be lost in political squabbles.”
In another news cut in Tamil Ajith reacting to an Income Tax raid at his house had joked to the media that he had lost many of his things and did not know where and the IT officers had helped him find many of those but did not find any tax irregularity at his house. Those were times when Thala used to be very vocal about what he feels and boldly expressed himself but has now become media-shy in recent years.
