While the entire moviedom is looking forward to the grand release of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Puli' and gargantuan celebrations tomorrow, a surprise raid by the Income Tax department is taking place in Vijay's residence and office in Chennai.

Not just Vijay but the film's director Chimbudevan and producer PT Selvakumar are also under the IT department's scanner as the raids are being conducted in the houses and offices of these two celebrities also.

The raid does not seem to target just the 'Puli' team as the surprise raids are being conducted in more than 30 places across Chennai, Thiruvanathapuram, Cochin and Hyderabad.

The residence and offices of the veteran producer and Tamil Film Producers Council President Kalaipuli.S.Thanu who is producing Vijay's next film after 'Puli' is also being raided by the Income Tax department official.

Leading heroine Nayanthara's house at Cochin is also being raided by IT department staff while Samantha's residence is also undergoing IT raid since morning.
