IT dept official statement on why Thalapathy Vijay questioned and raids conducted

The Income Tax department has officially shed light on why exactly the Income-tax raids were made at Thalapathy Vijay’s properties and that of AGS Entertainment and Anbuchezhian.  It is said that since ‘Bigil’ collected in excess of rupees 300 Crores and became a huge blockbuster the action was initiated and the statement says that Vijay’s involvement in this regard is what remuneration he got from AGS and the investments of that amount in immovable properties is only being investigated.  No cash has been seized from his premises according to the note.shared with the press.

Surabhi Ahluwalia the Commissioner of Income Tax has confirmed that unaccounted amount to the tune of 77 Crores has been seized from financier Anbuchezhian’s premises.   Regarding AGS the note has clarified that the accounts given by the company regarding to income and expenditures for ‘Bigil’ are being cross-checked.
