Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that there might be a conventional war between India and Pakistan. Speaking in Parliament, he lambasted the Indian government for diluting Article 370.
"Now that the special status of Kashmir is a thing of the past, I fear that ethnic cleansing of the local population in Kashmir will follow. There could be more Pulwama-type attacks and the blame will be put on Pakistan," Khan said.
He added that if and when a conventional war takes place, there will be no winner but the implications will be global.
A day before the Modi government moved a resolution in Parliament to water down Article 370, Khan spoke of the need for mediation by the US. "President Trump offered to mediate on Kashmir. This is the time to do so as the situation deteriorates there and along the LOC with new aggressive actions being taken by Indian occupation forces. This has the potential to blow up into a regional crisis," he tweeted out.
