Imran Khan’s fans are eagerly waiting to see the handsome star in a gangster avatar for the first time in Balaji Motion Pictures’ much anticipated film ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again’. The film, which also stars Akshay Kumar in lead, has Imran playing a Muslim character, which he had never done before as well.

Of late IndiaGlitz’s reliable birdies found out that Imran drew inspiration from films in the 80’s given that the film is set back in the day. It is heard that the actor has been watching a lot of Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff films like ‘Mashaal’ and ‘Ram Lakhan’ to get under the skin of his character and to understand the old-school mannerisms and styling of characters that belong to that era.

Confirmed Imran, "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again is a period film... So the characters had to fit in correctly...I watched a lot of films from the 80’s, including the ones with Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff in them to understand how things were back then".

With Sonakshi Sinha playing female lead, ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again’ is scheduled to release August 8th2013.
