'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' is a success but it would be quite some time before it's lead pair of Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif are seen together again. Though there were rumours that Dibakar Banerjee would be roping in the two actors for a film of his, there hasn't been any progress on this front ever since then. In fact there were also rumours that 'Shanghai', Dibakar's upcoming film, is the same that was earlier conceptualised with Imran and Katrina before Abhay and Kalki stepped in. However on contacted, Dibakar denied finalising anyone for any part.

"See, what happens is that big stars are always busy and for whatever is worth, I am also busy with my films. We do meet and talk about how we could do something good together. However people have a tendency to pick up half cooked news and assume that a film is indeed happening," says Dibakar while sounding a bit evasive around the topic.

Prod him further around the whether he has anything particular in mind for Imran and Katrina when it comes to a project in near future and he denies any such possibility. "See, when it happens it happens. Even earlier I had spoken to Imran and Katrina separately. There are chances that we may or not may not work together. But no, right now there is no film with them," he says.

Guess it would now be the urn of some other filmmaker to devise a film with Imran and Katrina that would bring the successful couple back on the big screen.
