Saturday was a big day for our young actor, Imran Khan… The ‘Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane’ star got engaged with his long-time girlfriend Avantika Malik, who is the daughter of TV18's honcho Vandana Malik. The couple said to have been in courtship for over five years.

The engagement was held at the Malik’s farmhouse in Karjat, outside Mumbai. The guests were strictly called by invitation, which included only family and close friends of the industry.

Imran’s uncle and star Aamir Khan had been for the ceremony along with his wife Kiran Rao, son Junaid, brother Faisal Khan, parents Tahir Hussain and wife Zeenat, uncle Mansoor Khan. Aamir’s ex-wife Reena had also been there. Among the guest list were Karan Johar, Kunal Kohli, Kunal Kapoor, Abhay Deol, Sarika and few others.

Imran is reported to have gifted his fiancée a Volkswagen Beetle as her engagement present. It is said that the actor had got the red car from Europe and was at it for a month and a half.
