Anushka Sharma has worked with Shahrukh Khan in a couple of dramatic tales while with Ranveer Singh she has featured in two romcoms.

While these two male counterparts of hers have been spaced by two decades of working experience, when it came to her first screen outing with Imran Khan in 'Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola', the pairing has been as unconventional as it gets.

"Yes, this is our first film together and it would be special for everyone", says Anushka, "The fact that we have not done a film together in the past only makes our pairing interesting.

Of course, I know that people would have imagined that Imran and me would come together in a romcom", says Anushka who has also worked with Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor in the past, "Even though 'Matru...' isn't particularly one such film, our combination is striking, more so with Pankaj Kapur as the third main lead.

Actually this very combination gives the film an edge since we have been so oddly placed here. It adds on to the fun".

Come 11th February and we would like to be a part of all the fun as well.
