Dayaa - Impressive Thriller

Dayaa marks the OTT debut of JD Chakravarthy. The show is directed by Pavan Sadineni and is now streaming on Hotstar. Read our review here to know if the show lives up to the hype or not.

Story:

Dayakar (JD Chakravarthy), is a guy who drives a freezer van to earn money. He's got a pregnant wife named Alivelu (Eesha Rebba) who he works really hard for. One day, while doing his job, he discovers a dead body inside his van. This freaks him out big time, and he gets help from his friend Prabha (Josh Ravi) to handle the situation. The body belongs to a famous journalist named Kavitha (Ramya Nambessan). Now, how does this incident change Dayaa's life? This is the main questions in the story.

Analysis:

Dayaa is a rare Telugu show with strong characters. The writing is great because each character has their own goals, which keeps things interesting. The way these characters' stories connect is really well done. The person who wrote and directed the show, Pavan Sadineni, did a good job of making each character interesting and creating drama.

The second part of the series is very exciting and moves quickly. This is where most of the action happens. We see important characters changing in significant ways, and some moments get you excited. The music by Shravan Bharadwaj is really good and makes many scenes even better. The world of Dayaa is set up well at first, but things slow down a bit after the main problem is introduced. Some episodes are a bit slow, and the editing could have been tighter to make things more interesting.

All the actors did their best, but JD Chakravarthy really stands out. He's amazing in his role. His character is complex, and JD Chakravarthy nails it. His body language and how he talks are fantastic. Basically, he's really, really good. Ramya Nambessan's character is well-written, and she did a great job. She plays a journalist who wants to find the truth no matter what, and she's believable. Vishnu Priyaa and Josh Ravi also have important roles, and they did well. Eesha Rebba did a good job too, and we'll probably see more of her in the next season.

Another good thing about the show is how it ends. There are lots of suspenseful moments that make you excited for the next season. It doesn't feel like they just added more episodes for no reason; the story really needs it. It's only in the fifth episode that things start coming together. The show uses a non-linear style in the beginning, and that could have been clearer. This way of telling the story is a bit confusing at first, but you get used to it.

The background music by Shravan Bharadwaj is amazing and one of the best things about the show. The sound design is really good too. The camera work by Vivek Kalepu adds a lot to the show's look. The editing is good in the later episodes. The whole show looks and sounds great. Pavan Sadineni, the director, did a good job overall. The way the characters' stories come together is well done, and there are some really good lines.

Overall, Dayaa is a gripping crime drama with interesting characters and strong acting from everyone. The director created drama around the characters and put exciting moments in the later episodes. The music adds to the experience, and the show leaves you hanging with suspense making this show worth watching this weekend.
