Impose a full lockdown: Rahul Gandhi

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday demanded that the Modi government impose a total lockdown in the country. In his Twitter message, the Wayanad MP said that the Government's indecision is resulting in the death of people due to the pandemic.
"GOI doesn’t get it. The only way to stop the spread of Corona now is a full lockdown- with the protection of NYAY for the vulnerable sections. GOI’s inaction is killing many innocent people," he wrote. NYAY is an income-support scheme that the Congress party had promised to implement if it wins the General Elections in 2019.
Rahul Gandhi's latest demand is in sharp contrast to what he said in September last year. In an interview, he tore into the lockdown strategy of the Prime Minister, who had imposed many weeks of lockdown in March, April and May. The Congress leader said that lockdown was not an attack on corona but an attack on the poor. He also alleged that the lockdown was an attack on the youth, labourers, farmers and small shopkeepers.
GOI doesn’t get it.
