In what may be called the only surprise hit of the year, patronage for It's My Love Story is growing northwards across the State. Claiming this, its director Madhura Sridhar said that they always had immense faith in the redeeming value of the story, and that the film did not belie their hopes.
The Prema Yatra, undertaken by the cast and crew, has been a revelation for Sridhar. He says that it he came to know what the youth, the exhibitors and distributors want. Some stakeholders told me that Ala Modalaindi fetched them some money. This made me quite happy. Their expectations increase our responsibility. Our co-producers (Multidimension) will release 30 more prints. That a small film has been able to withstand competition from big films is no joke, Sridhar noted.
Arvind Krishna said, I feel lucky to have got the opportunity to meet so many people with my first film itself. Wherever we went, the response was tremendous.
Nikitha, who had declined a plum job offer to join films, said, I was at first apprehensive whether I did a mistake by rejecting the Rs. 1 lakh per month offer from Facebook. But after seeing the response of the audience, my doubts have been smashed. My friends are calling me after my character's name in the movie.
Vennela Kishore thanked his friend Sridhar for giving him the role of Sujath Reddy, a fashion designer with feminist mannerisms. The audience are in splits watching me say 'Come to my room, I will teach you a lesson.
