There have long been whispers that Vishal is rivaling Vijay but the Nadigar Sangam Secretary has denied it claiming that he is not only a huge fan of the Illayathalapathy

but also has plans of directing him in the future.

However on the professional front in 2014 Diwali Vijay`s Kaththi` and Vishal`s Poojai` clashed at the box office and now it looks like Vishal`s Maruthu` directed by Muthiah is in post production and the team is planning to release on the 14th of April on which date Vijay`s Theri` has already been confirmed.
