Director Bharathan gave Azhagiya Tamizh Magan` a below par film for Vijay and many questions were raised why the topmost star of Kollywood chose him over many other hit directors who are lining up to direct him.

Bharathan speaking to a leading English daily has revealed that he wrote the family commercial entertainer with Vijay in his mind and the script also demanded the Illayathalapathy and when he met him and narrated for two and a half hours the mass hero was floored and immediately allotted dates. It has also now come to light that it is a two heroine subject and the team has still not finalized anyone contrary to the rumors that Kajal Agarwal and Keerthi Suresh are fixed.

Vijay 60`is produced by Vijaya Vahini and has music by Santhosh Narayanan and all the five songs are written by Vairamuthu and the shoot will begin in June in exotic locations of Rajamundhry, Hyderabad and Chennai.
