Ilayaraja Acknowledges Birthday Wishes Amid Deep Personal Sorrow

Celebrities and fans of musician Ilayaraja are wishing him a happy birthday today. Actor Dhanush just shared the biopic picture of artist Ilayaraja on social media and wished him well. Similar to that, a lot of movie stars are wishing musician Ilayaraja well on social media.

But, music composer Ilayaraja hosted a media conference at his Kodambakkam, Chennai, office. Then he added, “I am not celebrating my birthday today because I am grieving the loss of my daughter and you are wishing me a happy birthday.”

Notably, musician Ilayaraja’s daughter Bhavadharani died on January 25th while receiving treatment in Sri Lanka. Her death was a huge loss for both Ilayaraja and her family.

The interview today shows that musician Ilayaraja is still grieving at the loss of his daughter.
