It was a forgettable debut for Ileana in Tamil films as 'Kedi' in which she starred alongside Ravi Krishna and Tamanna bombed at the box office. But then the sleek damsel with vibrant looks made it big in the Telugu film industry. When she starred along with Mahesh Babu for the Telugu film 'Pokkiri' (was remade in Tamil with Vijay and Asin), the Goa lass literally ruled the roost in Telugu films. She followed it up with another Telugu blockbuster 'Jalsa' and was declared the reigning queen of Tollywood.

It was around this time that many filmmakers from Tamilnadu wanted to cast her in their films. The list included the think-tank behind Rajinikanth's animation film 'Sultan: the Warrior', the 'Vettaikaaran' team and many more. But then the actress was reportedly 'very expensive' for them.

A complete turn of events seems to have happened now. Ileana's Telugu film 'Bhale Dongalu' in which she starred with Tarun did not do very well and 'offers seemed to diminish dramatically'. According to reports the actress has had an extended holiday in her hometown Goa and is open to work in Tamil films. It is not clear if her expected remuneration remains the same.
