Actress Ileana who was last seen in Devudu Chesina Manushulu, is in contention to play the leading lady opposite Ram Charan in the Telugu remake of Thani Oruvan, says reports. Director Surender Reddy is weighing options to rope in the Goan beauty in this action entertainer which is going to hit the floors in December. It is being said that Surender wanted to cast a popular actress to reprise this substantial role essayed by Nayanthara in the original. leana's name was earlier cropped up for a rumoured special number in Ram Charan starrer Brucelee.

Recently, the makers also negotiated to cast Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead in this film but their efforts turned futile owing to her hectic commitments. Ileana had earlier teamed up with Surender Reddy for Kick. The film gave a new lease of life for the actress and was adjudged a colossal hit at the box office. Nagarjuna is likely to step into the shoes of Aravind Swamy' role in this film produced jointly by Allu Aravind and NV Prasad.
