Ileana admits being nervous during 'Barfi!'

Ileana, who has acted in quite a few films down South and is a superstar out there, hasn't really dubbed for any of her Tamil or Telugu movies since she was brought up in Goa. However when 'Barfii!' came calling, she had to take a call on whether she wanted to continue with her inhibition when it came to the speaking part or she could leave her demons aside and finally listen to her voice on the big screen.
It was almost as if she had given up on dubbing, adds another source, Even for 'Barfii!' she was very nervous even though she is quite familiar with Hindi and can speak well too. It is just that English is her mother tongue so she was a little apprehensive. Leave aside films, even in her commercials her voice has been dubbed by others.
Moreover, she was also conscious since hers is the only speaking part in the film, what with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra acting sans dialogues. However once she made up her mind, she was on for the job.
Thankfully it didn't turn out to be nightmarish for me; it wasn't that bad after all, smiles Ileana, Yes, to dub was a little too late in the day in my career but at the end of it all, the experience was worth it.
