Actor Vijay was one of the top stars expected to participate in the Silent protest organised by Nadigar Sangam on Friday (November 20) for the conduct of Jallikattu. But his absence for conspicuous especially when many of the top stars of Kollywood such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith Kumar, Suriya and Karthi took part in the protest.

But now Vijay who could not participate in the Nadigar Sangam protest did something much more than that for his commitment to the Jallikattu cause.

Lakhs of Tamilians gathered in Chennai Marina to protest for Jallikattu last night had a surprise visitor. Yes by midnight Ilaythalapathy Vijay came to the protest venue of commoners.

The Ilayathalapathy did not just waved his hands and went away. He sat with the protesters for sometime and also raised slogans in support of Jallikattu along with the public.

With such a genuine expression of his commitment for the Jallikattu protest of the people. as one among them, Vijay has definitely gone a few notches higher than all the other stars in the minds of public.
