Music director Ilayaraaja is all set to collect his belongings from Prasad Studios in saligramam today. After several months of legal battle Ilaiyaraaja was last given the approval of the Madras high court to enter Prasad Studios to collect his belongings.
In the hearing last week, Justice N Sathish Kumar permitted a one-day access to Ilayaraja into the premises of the studio after he accepted the conditions of Prasad Studios owners to withdraw cases filed against them and not interfere in their affairs.
Earlier Ilaiyaraaja had filed a plea seeking to stop the Prasad studio owners from interfering with his recording theatre in the studio. Ilayaraja also had sought ₹50 lakh as compensation for the mental agony caused. The court has also allowed Ilayaraaja to meditate in the recording theatre before taking back his belongings. Two music assistants and one personal assistant of the composer are allowed to accompany the music director when he comes to collect his belongings from the music studio.
