Maestro Ilayaraja will perform live the songs from Prakash Raj's 'Dhoni', during the audio launch function of the film in Chennai on January 28. The venue is the Anna Centenary Library at Kotturpuram.

Confirming this, Prakash Raj, the director and producer of the movie, says, "Yes, Raja sir will be performing with his 16-member orchestra during the function. I am happy about it and it is no doubt an honour."

A bilingual being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu, the music launch function of Dhoni's Telugu version will take place in Hyderabad on February 3. "But we have not yet decided whether Ilayaraja will perform in Hyderabad or not," says Prakash Raj.

The film is about the pressure being put on students by their parents and the society. Prakash Raj plays the lead role as well. Plans are on to release the film in both languages by the second or third week of February.
