The superhit combo of musical maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraja and singing sensation KJ Yesudas have teamed up, exactly 10 years after their last collaboration in the Malayalam movie Pazhassi Raja that had Mammootty playing the lead role.

The multilingual singing legend had last crooned numbers in Tamil, in movies like Kaththi and Sigaram Thodu and now, has sung an inspiring song "Poruthathu Pothum Pongida Va Puyalena va" in the upcoming movie Thamizharasan, that has music director turned hero Vijay Antony playing the lead role.

Thamizharasan is directed by Babu Yogeswaran who had earlier directed Doss, and also stars Remya Nambeesan, Sonu Sood, Suresh Gopi, Sangeetha, Kasthuri, and marks the debut of director Mohan Raja's son Pranav. Thamizharasan has cinematography by RD Rajasekhar.
