The grand musical event 'Ilayaraja 75' went over the weekend in Chennai. The two-day event was a beautiful tribute to Maestro Ilayaraja.
The Sunday's event saw the presence of Superstar Rajinikanth and Universal Star Kamal Haasan. When the '2.0' and 'Peta' star spoke, he said, "Music is the best art, as musicians are blessed by God and have the power to control us. Some Lingas are created in water, some by man, while others are self-made. Ilayaraja is a self-born Linga and he's a rarity."
Rajini then said that although the Maestro has given him a lot of great film songs, the best always went to Kamal Haasan.
At this, the legendary music director said, "While he thinks that's the case, Kamal thinks that the opposite is true." Kamal nodded in agreement. It was a candid evening involving three legends!
