Ilaiyaraja's matured reaction for Bangalore Airport incident

Yesterday news broke out that a security person made Isaignani Ilaiyaraja wait in the Bangalore airport for one hour as he did not allow the septuagenarian composer to carry the baggage of temple prasadam that contained a broken coconut. The issue was resolved after Raja explained to him that it was just a Prasadam.
This sparked an outrage from Raja fans who felt that the music icon has been insulted by the airport security staff. The staff was also blasted for his ignorance about the music maestro.
Now in a video interview to a newly launched Tamil news channel, Raja has said that this was a routine security check and no one should blame the security official for doing his duty.
"Security checks in airport are quite common and I never make a big deal about them. I have come across even more offensive behaviors. But if they (security staff) don't perform their duty the country will not be safe. I don't know why Indian people are wasting their time and energy in such unwanted issues. I have not taken it as an insult. We should understand that they come from some other state and are distanced from their family and kids. They don't even get food on time due to their work conditions. That may have caused irritation to them forcing them to behave rudely at times. They may not know who is who. I request the media friends to not give importance to incidents like these. This is a routine thing and I am just a common man like all of you "
Hope this puts an end to the controversy and IndiaGlitz salutes Ilaiyaraja for handling this issue with such immense maturity and empathy.
