Tamil Nadu's most admired Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha's passing away has left the entire state and even other parts of the country in mourning state. The Tamil film industry has suffered a severe shock with her death as she was formerly a part of the film fraternity as the most successful heroine.
Though she distanced herself from films after entering politics the number of admirers for her kept growing in the film industry, a fact evident my a hundreds and hundreds of Tamil film celebrities from star actors and technicians to junior artists making a beeline to pay the last respects for her in the Rajaji Bhavan where here mortal remains were kept.
Isaignani Ilaiyaraja also made a personal visit to pay his homage for the iron lady politician. Sine today morning a heartmelting song as an eulogy on Jayalalitha has been doing rounds under the name of Ilaiyaraja. It is being said that the song been penned by Raja who has also composed and recorded it in his soulful voice.
The lyrics was written in such a way that every line ends with the word 'Amma' which is the term used by her party cadre and every admirer as a token of gratitude for the affection she has been showering on Tamil people like a mother in the form of leader.
However it has now been confirmed that Ilaiyaraja is not connected to the song in any manner. Sources reval that the song has been composed by Varshan the music director of director S.P.Jananathan's 'Purambokku Engira Podhuvudamai' and it has been sung by Asmin who sung the 'Thappellam Thappe Illai' number in Vijay Antony's 'Naan'.
