Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja, the maestro who has worked in more than 1000 movies and composed more than 7000 songs has now filed a complaint with Chennai police commissioner, against Sai Prasad, the owner of Prasad studios.
Ilaiyaraaja has mentioned in the complaint that he had been known for working in an area in Prasad studio which was given to him by late producer and Prasad studio owner LV Prasad in 1977, and since then he has worked from the studio and even his son Ramesh Prasad who took charge later was happy with Ilaiyaraaja working there. However after his son Sai Prasad took over, from September 2019 he has been working on making Ilaiyaraaja move out of the studio and a legal battle is already in progress.
Now in this ongoing issue, Ilaiyaraaja has mentioned that during the tough times of Coronavirus lockdown, Sai Prasad and his team have damaged many valuable items of Ilaiyaraaja in his studio, and have opened his studio and personal space without permission by breaking open, as original keys are with Ilaiyaraaja. The music director has alleged that Sai Prasad and team have destroyed many important stuff in the studio and have also sold musical notes in black market, and has demanded legal action.
