Actress Kasthuri has been an active social media user, and has often expressed her views on social issues, politics and sports through her tweets and has got into controversies in several instances as well.

Fan wars are quite common in Twitter, with fans of rival actors creating and trending hashtags. Yesterday, two hashtags which were trending in Twitter were #June22BlackdayForVijay and #மே1அஜித்குபாடைகட்டு, and fans of Ajith and Vijay were fighting on social media with such insensitive hashtags.

Expressing her view on these hashtags, Kasthuri has tweeted that Ajith and Vijay will be fine and they'll be doing good, and that the curses of jobless people on social media won't do them any harm but will bring them shame. She questioned if this was necessary when the whole world is burning, and has advised people to ignore negativity, live and let live.
