IFFI 2017: Parvathy wins best actress award

Malayalam actress Parvathy has bagged the best actress award at the 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Panaji, for her performance in the film ‘Take Off’ directed by Mahesh Narayanan. This is the first time in the history of Goa IFFI that a Malayalam actress is bagging the best actress award. The actress won the award for her portrayal of Sameera, a Keralite nurse who gets trapped at Tikrit in Iraq. Take Off which was the only Malayalam film in the competition category of IFFI, has also bagged the special jury award.
