Simbu movies are looked up for release with fervour and eager anticipation. STR who has only appeared in cameo roles after his last film 'Poda Podi' in 2012 did well beyond expectations in competition to that year's blockbuster Diwali release 'Thuppakki'. He's been quite busy with his international album which he's been working on for a while now.

Simbu is all set for his return this year with two big releases namely 'Idhu Namma Aalu' and 'Vaalu'. First in line being 'Idhu Namma Aalu' has currently generated massivce curiosity for the on-screen chemistry between Simbu and Nayantara is one of the best facets for this movie. The movie has resumed its last leg of shoot with Simbu taking part in the shoot at OMR now. Director Pandiraj directed 'Idhu Namma Aalu' will end its final schedule with this 2 day shoot with Simbu before completing the final talkie portions with the rest of the cast including Nayantara, if necessary.

'Idhu Namma Aalu', a feel-good romantic movie has impressed audiences with its teaser released on Pongal day. The movie stars Simbu, Nayantara, Andrea, Santhanam, Soori among others. Simbu's brother Kuralarasan makes his debut in the film as the music composer with Balasubramaniem handling cinematography and Praveen K. L. doing the editing.
