The International Cricket Council has suspended Ambati Rayudu from bowling in international cricket. "He elected not to submit to a test of his bowling action within the stipulated period of 14 days of being reported for a suspect action, and therefore he has been suspended with immediate effect in accordance with clause 4.2 of the ICC regulations," a statement given by the ICC says.
Rayudu has been in the dock since the January 12th cricket match against Australia. His bowling action was said to be suspect.
The cricketer's suspension will be revoked only if he submits to an evaluation of his suspect bowling action.
