Ace and well known star Kamal Haasan turns downs the offer on joining the protest against the rising intolerance that is happening in the country. He also strongly commented saying, that he would not return his National Awards and insult the government on it.

60-year-old Kamal Haasan also added saying, "Nothing will happen by returning the awards. There are sensible politicians in every party and returning will be a futile attempt."

Kamal is proud of his Padmashri and Padma Bhusan awards that not only gave him a recognition as an actor but the unconditional love that all his fans have for him.

The intolerance is a big fight where a number of writers, filmmakers, historians and scientists have returned their national honours to protest against recent incidents like the Dadri lynching, beef row and ink attacks.
