Speaking at the pre-release event of 'Yatra', Mollywood superstar Mammootty said that the film now belongs to the audience.
"I can understand Telugu. I need some more time to speak beautiful Telugu. In 'Yatra', it's me who spoke all the lines. Telugu is known as the 'Italian of the East'. It's a poetic, rhythmic, beautiful language. With a lot of effort, and with the assistance of my team, I could dub for this film myself," the veteran actor began saying.
"When I was told about this project by cinematographer Shamdat, I was so excited to do a Telugu film for the first time in the last 23 years. I was little confused about the subject of the movie, wondering if it's about some investigation into YSR's death. This is an event-based biopic on YSR. Before starting the film, I had the entire script in my hands to read it. When I started shooting for the scenes, I could speak my lines comfortably," Mammootty revealed.
"This is my third straight Telugu film. A lot of people still love YSR. I only need 1 percent of that love for me. 'Yatra' is now your film. It's now your duty to make this a hit," Mammootty signed off.
