Akshay Kumar has made it clear that 'Padman', produced by his wife Twinkle Khanna, will not be released on Jan 26 if '2.0' were to arrive on Jan 25.
When '2.0' should arrive is not in Akki's hands, but what is definitely his prerogative is whether 'Padman' should clash with the other film. And Akki doesn't want a clash. "Why would I clash with my own film?" he asks a daily.
This makes it clear that, as of now, even the makers of the Rajinikanth-Shankar-Akshay film don't know as to whether their magnum opus will arrive on the 25th. Vfx works are going on in about 11 countries.
'Padman', a comedy-drama based on the life of the Tamil social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham, who "revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine," has been directed by R Balki.
